Sports Day 2013 KS1 & Foundation

Police Horse Visit May 2013

When the mounted horse unit from Walkington visited us, the High Sheriff of East Yorkshire Stephen Larard also came. He was observing the unit as part of his report to the Queen, the unit is closing down and the pupils & staff were upset to hear this.

We have written letters to the Chief Constable to protest as we believe it is good value for money, excellent for breaking down community barriers and part of our heritage.

Maypole 2013

This afternoon the pupils came outside to dance around the maypole.  The sun was shining and lots of family & friends came to watch.  A combination traditional and modern music ensured the Maypole dancing was entertaining & fun to do.

Anti Bullying Poster competition

On Friday you took home a letter explaining that you have been invited to design a poster about anti bullying. Attached to the letter was a template onto which you should draw or stick your deign.
Remember there is a £10 WHSmith voucher to be won and the winner will represent our school against other Beverley cluster schools – the overall winning design to be published.

If you print the template from this site, please print it in A4 if possible. You may design you’re steer on A4 paper and on your return to school Mrs Thresh will be able to reduce it to fit the template…no excuses, let’s show Beverley how creative we can be!

Make your poster colourful and eye catching.
The focus should be to tell other people if you are being bullied.
Don’t add too much text – short and snappy.
Don’t put your name within the poster. Write it on the back.

Good luck!
